ADAMSVILLE, Primoria – At today’s meeting of the Ruling Council in Tytannia Province, the Office of the Emperor’s initiative to reform all of the Empire’s legislation came to an end with the unanimous passing of the Legislative Amendments Act 2013. Making numerous improvements to the previous eight Acts, it includes the following:
-Many internal procedures for the local governments have been improved, eliminating the role of the landed noble as a backup Councilor.
-The messages for opening and closing Ruling Council meetings have been changed and are now shorter.
-The Lord Chancellor’s role in recording the meetings has been made more specific.
-The Monarch now no longer owns the state media, though the Emperor is still the Editor of the Adammic Express and the Director of AOT.
-The legal web domain of the official website has been updated.
-The Adammic Imperial Province has been renamed Primoria.
-Christmas Day has been declared a national holiday.
The Council meeting was arguably the most successful one held to date, with every single one of the 7 members present along with another 7 observing citizens, almost 2/3rds of Adammia’s population. After the Agenda of the meeting had been completed, whilst discussing Any Other Business, His Grace Sir Reginald Hall raised the point that some of the observers present, the family of his son Christopher Hall, did not live on Adammic territory. After some discussing with the Emperor the possible opportunities that would come from annexing his property and the necessary procedure, Christopher was still undecided, but his family, spurred on by his partner Debbie Shaw, convinced him to agree to the plan. An uncle of the Emperor, he and his family reside on a large property that includes a stretch of a bank of a river, opening up many new possibilities for a new naval base. A Treaty of Annexation will now be drafted by the Emperor and will hopefully be signed in a few weeks. Following this example, Julie Foster, another relative present at the meeting, decided to allow her own house to be annexed too. At the moment it is not clear how much extra land will be gained if these annexations go ahead.
In other news, the first fabric flag has been completed. It was shown to the gathered citizens in Tytannia today and hung proudly from the ceiling during the Council meeting. Pictures will be available soon.
That is all for this week. The Adammic Express would like to wish our readers a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year. His Imperial Majesty the Emperor shall be giving his first ever Christmas Broadcast on the 25th, so be sure to keep an eye on AOT: http://www.youtube.com/user/EmpireOfAdammia. Seek wisdom and honour, and long live the Empire!
