ADAMSVILLE, Primoria – The Empire of Adammia has expanded its territory today with the annexing of a new Province. This new land is the property of an aunt of the Emperor and is also the residence of two of his cousins. Its size is around 217m², increasing the total size of the Empire to over 0.35 acres.
The new province is located within West Yorkshire like all the other Adammic provinces. It has been named Watertopia, in honour of Charles Waterton, a well-known naturalist and explorer who was from this English county. Watertopia has been assigned to the Region of West Adammia, meaning His Imperial Majesty the Emperor, Archduke of West Adammia, is responsible for appointing its landed noble. The Emperor chose his aunt, Julie Foster, to be the Duchess of the province and therefore one of its two representatives on the Ruling Council. “She was the only logical choice, really,” he commented. “Julie is the only resident of the Province who is really old enough and mature enough to take on a role like this.”
Under the terms of the Treaty, the province must hold Local Elections in two weeks. This will fill the last seat on the now 10-seat Ruling Council, returning to its previous size before the merging of Tytannia and Sapientia in November. First, however, the Council had to review Imperial Decree XVII, which the Emperor created yesterday in order to replace the law for annexing new territory that was lost when the First Amendment to the Supreme Directive repealed Imperial Decree IV. The Council also had to approve the choice for the new Duchess, which it did so near unanimously with 7 in favour and 1 abstain.
In other news, upon the suggestion of the Emperor, the Minister of Culture, Mr Andrew Hall, has authorised a new cultural project – the Adammic National Gallery. Exhibiting art created by Adammic citizens, the gallery will be online and will be part of the official Empire of Adammia website. Artists expected to be featured include His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Daniel and Madam Becky Spencer-Smith DOA. It is, as of yet, unknown how long it will be until the gallery goes live, due to a delay in the development of the website as a whole.

That is all for this week. Seek wisdom and honour, and long live the Empire!
