News Report – 20th November 2014 – Council Formalises Parliamentary Procedure

Adam I, Editor

ADAMSVILLE, Primoria – The Ruling Council passed the Internal Procedures Act 2014 on Saturday the 15th, replacing the original Internal Procedures Act 2013 which was the very first Act passed by Council. One of the longest pieces of Adammic legislation to date, the Act has completely revamped the way meetings of the Council work. Meetings are now designed to be much more formal, with a version of parliamentary procedure based on notes sent to HIM the Emperor by Emperor Arthur I of Wurdigeland from the Harvard Model Congress for Latin America. December’s Council meeting will be the first under the new system, and is expected to act as a trial run for the new system. The Act can be read in full here.

In other news, the Emperor made a rare visit to Myway Province with Sir Reginald Hall, Prince Jake and Major Sir Matthew Foster on Saturday the 15th. Though the trip was intended to collect a tent for the Emperor’s latest imminent weekend in Coventry, UK for the Insomnia Gaming Festival, His Imperial Majesty used the opportunity to grant a knighthood to Christopher Hall, Duke of Myway, making the now Sir Christopher the newest member of the Order of Adammia. Meanwhile, the Office of the Emperor confirmed that a Christmas broadcast will be produced for 2014, which may also include a short message from the Prime Minister to be read by the Emperor.

Finally, we would like to wish a happy birthday to Sir Oscar Gilmour, Knight of the Ordo Vladius, who turned 18 on Tuesday; to honourary citizen William of Georgia, who turned 12 today; to Alex Hollis, a full citizen and former Colonel in the Adammic Army, who turned 17 yesterday; and to Sir Jordan Jones KOA, who turned 18 today.

That is all for this week. Seek wisdom and honour, and long live the Empire!
